Hi Samename, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, it is possible that your Spotlight Cam will pick up small animals passing by, however, your motion sensitivity slider is your tool to determine exactly what you want your Spotlight Cam to react to. By moving the slider between "People Only" and "All Activity," you can fine-tune your Ring device to fit the particular circumstances of your location. Please see this article for more information: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004171383-Using-the-Motion-Sensitivity-Slider-on-Your-Spotlight-Cam. If I can assist you further please feel free to email me at [email protected]. Kaitlyn R., Neighbor Satisfaction Specialist [email protected]
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on the range set and how it is mounted, small animals can activate the motion detector. If annoying, you can adjust the settings in the "Motion Schedule" and schedule when to disable the Motion Alerts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can be sensitive to small animals, but thankfully there is an option within the app which allows the sensitivity to be adjusted so you won’t be getting alerts due to your neighbors’ cat all day long (I speak from experience).
