Yes, you may cut the plug off and install a new one. Pay attention to the polarity - the white wire attaches to the wider blade on the plug, and the black wire attaches to the narrow blade on the plug.

Unless you are a master electrician. I never would try. I drilled a 1” hole in my house into garage attic. Fed plug thru then mounted plate over hole leaving just a small gap at 4:30 position ⏰ ( clock coordinations) for cord to enter under camera Cord is amazingly long
