“Is this alway on? can it be used as a porchlite? I am considering the ring doorbell, but could this be used instead of that?”

• The spot light has no button that activates your door bell. Both are similar but the ring doorbell does not have a spot light nor a siren. The spot light cam doesn’t have a door bell button, although both devices can be used to used to communicate remotely.

• Yes, it (camera) is always on. If used as a porch light, I suppose it would function just like any other motion censored porch light.
