“Can you keep plugged in to keep charge or only take battery out to charge?”

• Once the battery is dead you remove from the device and charge with the cable that comes with the device. I suggest having a second battery.

• the battery has to be removed.However, our ring doorbells have been in use for almost a year and a half and haven’t needed charged. I expect the camera battery to be just as strong.
