“If I choose to use battery will I still hear a doorbell sound inside the house? Or is it when I use the battery option I place it next to the existing doorbell rather than replacing the doorbell??”

To hear doorbell inside you need to hardwire “replace current doorbell” or by the separate chime. You also can set up echo device to sound as a chime. Many options. I hard wired and use echo devices.

Please try again later.The ring will only alert you inside the house with an added ring chime device which can be purchased separately if not included in the ring package you choose. You can also set the app to alert you with a chime noise on whatever smart device you choose to connect to your ring doorbell.
