This can be used as battery powered or Wired, I am using this as wired so not sure about operation time when its battery powered. this has a USB charging cable , didn't have to remove the battery.

All Ring battery-powered (wireless) Ring doorbells are charged with a micro-USB cable (included in the box). The micro-USB cable can be plugged into any USB power source such as a computer.
