I presently have a remote door bell and chimes with no wiring. What is needed and can it be installed without tearing walls down to install the Ring? I'm assuming you need a transformer which we do not have. I will also get an opinion from an electrician. null

Wiring into an existing system is optional, as Ring runs on a battery. That being said, you do not need to tear up any walls and a transformer is not needed. All you need are screws to mount it

Just use it as a wireless and buy the adapter/extender.
