Can the Ring be used for an apartment building ? null

That will depend on the apartment management. I am in an apartment and using mine. I am running on the battery which is rechargeable. I have had mine a little over a month and there is still 3/4 charge in the battery. There are small screws to hold it. I'm sure they don't want you hardwiring it. Just ask them.
