Without a pre wired doorbell the Ring does not sound inside the home unless you purchase the chime. However it does sound outside when pushed

Yes, you can choose battery or hard wire. Says battery will last 6-12 months before next charge. Uses micro USB to charge. it will ring to your phone though if you have the notification setup

Yeah totally works hat way. You can use it on batteries and have t send the alerts to your phone.

Yes you can turn the ring off and the motion off to make a completely silent of all noise and then only have a fantastic video I really like mine
