Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1 - download the ring app on your smart phone 2 - either watch the installation video on your app or 3 - turn off the breaker to your doorbell 4 - take off old doorbell and put new ring plate in it's place, connect wires 5 - if your old doorbell is a newer version and plays a tune you'll need to use the small silver node inside the plate to touch each screw you've connected to the 2 wires. If it's an old kind, you won't need it 6 - charge the front plate of the ring. Once it's charged, slide it over the back plate for your ring. There's a screw on the bottom to tighten once you've done that 7 - get on your app and start experimenting with pushing your bell, making a motion in front of it, and getting notices on your phone 8 - one thing that was not explained well is the motion time settings. Those settings are for when you DON'T want to be notified (for example: midnight to 6am, so your sleep isn't disturbed) 9 - be careful when turning on and off the sections of space around your camera because that determines what you'll be able to view and what will set the ring to notify you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can be hooked up to your door bell or stand alone. If you are going with the stand alone, just charge the unit with the included cable and mount it where you want to see who is coming up to your property. Use the included screws. If you want it for your door bell, take the 2 screws off your old door bell, exposing 2 wires. If you can’t shut off the power, make sure you don’t cross or touch the wires together. Attach both wires to the new ring door bell. It doesn’t matter which wire goes where. The instructions tell you how to hook the ring whether you have a powered door bell or a digital one. The instructions are very good to install the ring. Hope this helps.
