Yes, that's exactly how I hooked mine up. Saves time with not having to charge the battery since it's wired and it still rings my doorbell on the inside.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tried this configuration, but the circuitry is not configured to detect that the door bell button has been pressed. Normally pressing the doorbell would apply power to your indoor bell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The Ring Doorbell will only detect a signal when it is pushed directly. I have another doorbell that is wired in parallel with the Ring Doorbell and it will not initiate the ring doorbell when pressed.
