- Answer They are water-resistant, not waterproof (i.e. they can get wet, but not submerged)

- Answer It doesn't have to be hard wired, you can buy a solar kit for it or you can charge it with a charger. The only issue with charging with a charger is you can't use the unit while it is being charged.

QuestionMy current doorbell was installed 3 ft high. Will the Ring's video be too affected that it'll be necessary for me to relocate with all the necessary additional rewiring, drilling, etc that will require? Thanks.

- Answer The ring will only work on 2.4. Make sure your router is broadcasting 2.4 then run the ring setup with the app to connect to your WiFi
