- Answer I think so. The device like a cell phone, can work at any position. But its wire connector is on the back. You may not expose that.

- Answer Yes, it must be removed from panel which is screwed to house. It comes with short USB cable to charge. I being it into house to do every 8 weeks. Takes couple hours. But just bought solar box that goes in between panel and ring doorbell that should auto charge every day. Yeah!

- Answer With the doorbell I have there is no light. I replaced my porch lightbulb with a motion activated bulb. It works great with my doorbell.
