I am considering purchasing a couple of these units. The specs say the camera is wired. What wiring requirements do they need? I am looking at 5 units on the same network. I have wifi available but I also have cat5 run to each location. null

The ring device wires into your current doorbell and if you don't want to wire it then it will run on batteries and you just have to charge.

I have four of these running in and outside my home and they work great. You can wire to existing door bells, but all of mine run on batteries that last about 2-3 months depending on activity. Has great night vision too.

Wiring was the A/C electrical. The data connection was over an internally generated secure WiFi between the devices then wireless to my home network.
