Yes you can but every time you move in your LR it will send a notification. Ring has the "Stick Up" cam that's made just for this type of application. 
There are cheaper products out there made just for this situation that run a geo fence and use your location to turn recording on and off. 
Check out the Canary indoor camera, I have one and it works great.
