“Our hardwired ring quit working. I thought if it was hardwired it wouldn't need a battery replacement. Would replacing the unit be best or get a replacement battery?”

Hi Pepper. Good question. The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) does not have a removable battery. However, the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) can be removed for recharging. Once you remove the unit from the wall, use a common micro-USB cable, such as the orange one included in your Ring box. Simply plug it into any USB power source. Your doorbell can take around 5-8 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or a wall outlet.
