Yes, The Ring Doorbell (2020 Release) runs on a built-in, rechargeable battery which does require unmounting and recharging via an included USB cord when the battery depletes. It can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer for continuous charging (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz).

No, you have to charge it with a usb. The charge will vary based on high or low traffic. Mine is relatively low and one charge should last several months.

Yes it has a rechargeable battery. Charge with cord that comes with the unit Must be changed for 24 hrs. The light ring will turn blue all the way around.
