It's charges like a cell phone. If you have an android S10 or up it's the same plug. Unit comes on a bracket with a security feature. After you disable it you just pop it off n plug er up. The app monitors the battery. Says you only have to charge it twice a year

It features a revamped mounting setup that simplifies installation and removal when it comes time to recharge the device. Additionally, this doorbell can be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer for continuous charging (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz). If you prefer a doorbell that has removable battery, you might want to look into the Ring Video Doorbell 4. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 is Ring’s newest battery video doorbell with features including all-new color Pre-Roll technology, 1080p HD video, two-way talk, Advance Motion Detection, enhanced dual-band wifi and Quick Replies. With color Pre-Roll, users can see even more of what’s happening outside their front door. With an additional 4-second color video preview of each motion event, the doorbell will automatically start recording before users even receive an alert. For any additional installation questions or set up concerns, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/. Thank you, Antonio from Ring
