• If you have it connected to your home WiFi and have the Ring app on your smart phone you will get the door bell notifications. You get 1 months free cloud service with the device, after that you have to pay $3 a month to be able to see any past activity that you miss from the RIng device.

• Absolutely. Out of the country.. different story. It is very hit or miss. But within the US I have not had many issues connecting; usually in the US it is due to a weak cell connection.
