“I have a huge old metal rooftop antenna that was hooked to my old pre-digital tv & is still hooked to my new HD smart tv. I get a lot of channels with it. Will it work with this Tivo? You can see the antenna on the left side of the roof.”

The quick answer is yes, I have a similar antenna in my garage roof space and it connected directly to the TiVo and worked great. Note there is only one antenna input so if you want to connect cable as well you will need a junction box Monty

Please try again later.If the old antenna works with your new HD TV, then it will most likely work with your TiVo ( I assume you have one of the TiVo sets that can receive Over-The-Air signals). My TiVo Roamio OTA works fine with my 30-year-old metal antenna in the attic. I have a splitter and two short cables to hook the antenna to both the TV and the Tivo at the same time.
