I don't think it would remember which to turn on and which to turn off based on rotor direction, but it does have a very good channel +/- feature. The channels I have turned off manually after the autoscan (for low signal strength, home shopping, etc) I can see on a list and easily turn them back on. So...you may have to do some finangling so that all channels you want from every direction are on that list, but if you got to that point you could turn them off and on without too much trouble.
