You could use the TiVo Romario OTA unlimited streaming with no monthly service fee. Also, if you decide to drop Comcast, cable, DISH etc you can still use your TiVo Over The Air (OTA) for DVR services. 
I dropped Dish Network after 2-1/2 years, prior to that I was a cable subscriber for 35+ years. I will never go back.
I just purchased the TiVo Mini for my bedroom.

I would suggest you check with Comcast first but Tivo has a DVR TIVO ROAMIO with a prepaid service that may work with your Comcast unit

tivo roamio is ota only and for if ypu want to cut cable. a tivo bolt should work with existing cable, but you will need to rent a card from your provider to access all the channels.
