Some Tivo's cone with the subscription included and those are more expensive, like 400. Got the second TV you'll need a TiVo mini ($150) to connect to the main TiVo. These require a LAN connection or the use of cable lines.

There are various ways to stream shows to a second TV...you'd probably want the Tivo Mini unit to do that. "We plan to get Xfinity /Comcast cable service" If you're talking about TV service, this is the OTA model. If you want to record cable, you'll need either a Tivo Bolt, or a Tivo Romio that's not the OTA version. "Will I need 2 TIVO's for 2 TV's?" You can use a Tivo Mini on one of the TVs instead, if you want.
