Sorry, but you will need high speed internet to receive the guide and updates. I have internet through Verizon landline and even my wifi would not work with the Tivo. I had to wire it as a LAN. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The comments here about it not having wifi make no sense. It has wifi built in as stated in the specifications. You should be able to select your wifi in the Tivo setup and give it your wifi password. I have not tried using a hotspot, but I don't see why that should be a problem. It should be seen by other devices just like any other wifi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used a TiVo Premiere 4 in our former home where our internet access was 3g cellular. Worked fine for the program guide. There are no offline options for program data to my knowledge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need internet to use it. It does not have wifi, you have to use a wired connection to the Tivo Box. It needs internet to download the software updates and the guide. Also you would need internet to access the streaming services like YouTube, Amazon and Netfilx.
