I mean you do need the software to do extra lighting, or wave rgb. Which means how the rgb shows or changes it pattern of lights. If you don’t have the app. The rgb will still work, but the customization is very limited

The Pyro does not require Swarm to be installed in order for its illumination to work, however, without the software you will only see a color wave lighting effect and can not customize it any further. If you are planning to use the keyboard on a company's computer, you might find it troubling to install the software anyhow as your administrator may not allow it. However, you can install Swarm on a private PC and set the keyboard up, then take the keyboard along with its settings to the work environment. The illumination modes "wave" and "fully lit" will be stored on the keyboard's onboard memory.
