I believe you’re correct, material sounds like copper clad ( CC) which is aluminum copper coated, not the same thing, but I am unaware of videos you see, some also have 1 strand copper and other (-) aluminum, not same thing, unless mistake in video it should say pure copper, I’ve not seen video but sounds different, I went with the Rocket Fish and all is copper, no mix, both sides, just make sure of + and -
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Interesting. Could be an alloy like beryllium -copper for increased hardness and durability. Pure copper might be more pricey, and OFHC copper (oxygen -free, high current) is more expensive still.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is pure copper.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If this were 100% oxygen free copper it'd be well over $100 for 25ft of wire. They say "copper material" for legal reasons due to the fact that it's insulated, and how the manufacturing of copper materials works. What's deemed "pure copper" rarely (if ever) is and is commonly mixed with a small amount of a compatible metallurgic material depending on application. This is what's known as "copper grading" or UNS. You can read more about it here if you'd like and are the inquiring mind that's eager to learn. Copper doesn't have to be "100% pure copper" to be oxygen free. OFC alloys do exist. https://www.totalmateria.com/page.aspx?ID=CopperGrades
