“I have metal studs not wood studs. Will the 5/16" x 2-3/4 lag bolt provided still work or do i need a different type of bolt?”

• I would recommend using a toggle bolt rated for twice the weight capacity as the mount and TV combined. (Mount, 15 lbs + TV, 25 lbs = 40 lbs. Toggle bolts should have 80 lb. capacity) Mount the toggle bolt into the wall stud. You can get them at any Home Depot.

• No. You may could use a fine threaded fastener but I would recommend a toggle bolt for extra assurance. Not knowing the gauge of the metal studs go with the toggle bolts to be safe.
