I have an older panasonic th-42px60u will this work null

As long as the weight on the older model tv doesn't go over the weight requirements of 100lbs, I would think YES. I looked up that model and there it definitely supports being wall mounted and the same site said that particular model only weighs 65 lbs. This wall mount set includes all of the different attachments you would need to mount that particular TV. Though if it is going to be a bit on the heavier side, I recommend making sure you find a stud during installation. :-)
