Technically according to them, no. However I did mount mine last week and I studs are 24 inches apart. I ran two 1 inch thick boards between the studs. Then I mounted the frame on these boards. When I did this I made sure that one side of the mount was drilled into the studs as well. I have a 60 inch LG mounted and it seems very stable. That being said. I have no intention of pulling it out 20 inches from the wall!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not mount this unit unless you can place the mounting screws directly into the studs. Wall anchors could pull out of dry wall, particularly if you are mounting a larger TV. I mounted my unit outside on a concrete block wall with tapcon screws... This method would safely hold a 60" TV.
