That would be best answered after knowing the structure of the fireplace. In my opinion if the structure is drywall and studs with flume enclosed, it would be possible. Not sure for other structure like brick, stucco or stone. It was a simple install which took about an hour just because I was cautious to make sure to read recommendations and for weight and size of tv. It is recommended to install in studs. We love ours.
