• DVI does not include audio; it is only a video signal. A separate mic (or optical) cable must be used to carry the audio signal

• DVI does not carry audio. You will need to run a separate audio cable for sound.

• This adapter will work for video output only. You will have to feed audio another way

• DVI is video only, the adapter will convert the video signal to an HDMI video output, but you will have to get your audio from the output on your audio card (it's usually a 3.5mm round female jack)
