• This needs to be mounted on a straight part of a wall. However, you can buy one of the high end wall mounts that range for more than $100 and the tv tilts in any direction you want. Forward, Backward, Right, Left, Up, and even Down.

• No, you would need a full motion mount for that. I got about 58 hits on this site about $30 and up. Make sure you hit a stud when putting the mount on the wall.
