“can we download instructions somewhere? Need to know if we MUST mount to a stud. I think if I put a reinforcing plate between the mount and the wall it should be OK for a small, 6 lb speaker. But I'd like to know what the instructions say.”

• I wouldn't recommend a 6lb speaker for this item its primary use is for small speakers. I would use a speaker stand in your case.
