The solid surface you plan to set the TV on with the provided legs is probably the most ideal and stable. If you are going for a specific "look" you first need to check a few dimensions for your specific tv and soundbar. This mount uses the VESA mounting holes and your legs generally have specific mounting points of their own. This mount also puts the soundbar under your tv so you need to check some clearances and make sure you don't block any soundbar or tv controls. You do need to determine if the legs mount far enough apart to for the length of your soundbar to fit in between them. This a common clearance issue if you are setting the soundbar on the same surface as the tv. You also need to verify the legs provide enough clearance for the height of the soundbar.
