Would this work with the LG Sound Bar SL8YG? null

This will work just fine for the SL8YG. The RF-SBM102 is compatible with all soundbars under 20 pounds, with attachment points between 6.6" to 35.5". The SL8YG if right in the middle of this range.

No it will not. You’re better off taping it to the wall than using this piece of garbage.
