“I want my sound bar on top of the tv. Will this allow for that? Also my sound bar only has mounting holes on the bottom the enclosure, none on the back. What do you suggest?”

It was never really intended to be mounted at the top of the TV. But in theory, you should be able to achieve this. As far as the mounting holes, you’ll be able to use the holes located at the bottom of your sound bar.
