Wattage of a receiver won't increase louder bass. If you have the subwoofer hooked up low level (rca cable) you can increase the db level out of the receiver. If you have it hooked up high level (speaker wire) you can only use the volume on the subwoofer or turn up the db level for the speaker output your using. Disadvantage to this is you are also turning up the db level for that speaker output as well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The subwoofer will always be as loud as it was even if a receiver is upgraded to support more power. The subwoofer itself must be upgraded to be able to handle more power.
