The roku 2 box has a USB port for external videos. Also if you ha e an older tv with only a USB port for service you have to plug it into the wall inconvenient

Please try again later.The guys at the store told me that the stick has to be charged and gets really hot whereas the actual box, (aka Roku 2), remains plugged into the wall and goes to sleep when you are not using it. Roku 2 requires an HDMI for connection, but no charging and I've never experienced any over heating with mine. The Wifi connection for both is supposedly the same, but who wants to take the stick out and charge it every time they're done using it?
