Once you register your Roku player via the roku.com website, you can add channels that you will never have in your TV set. There are tons of channels that you can find via Google that can be added only via the Roku.com web page by using a code. Simply search for "Roku Channels" and you'll find a lot of them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Samsung Smart Tv and my Roku has many more options than my tv. I have the most basic cable you can get so I now have SlingTv which is not available on my Smart Tv but is on the Roku. You can pretty easily look up what's available on both your smart tv and the Roku and decide what works best for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say not needed on a smart TV. I use on TVs that aren't smart ones. That aren't hooked to anything else like cable or direct tv. But there may be options your smart tv can't get. Mine I can add lots.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a smart TV, you don't need the Roku...I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything on it that your TV doesn't already have or can get.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ROKU interface is infinitely better than Smart features on TV's. I have high end Samsung SmartTV and never use the tv's smart features. Instead I use my Roku 2, its responsive and has "everything" in one place. If I'm done watching Sling TV i can hit one button and be watching my Netflix. Awesome product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but it truly depends on what programs you are missing in your current mix of smart features. The Roku can give you some great program options that aren't on televisions. Head over to their site if you haven't already and check out their programming partners. Find a few that and work and I would say keep it! Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't necessarily give you anything new. However, it'll improve your "Smart TV" experience. The Roku interface is much more intuitive and much faster. I have 3 smart TVs and all 3 have Rokus connected. I hate using the interface on my smart TVs, which are sluggish and slow. The Roku also gives you access to tons of other "channels" that most smart TVs do not offer. So if you're satisfied with what your smart TV already offers and have no issues with its performance, you probably won't care for a Roku. However, if you get annoyed from time to time, having a Roku definitely makes the experience better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.gives you the same options as the smart tv does. It makes a non smart tv a smart tv
