• Since the remote is wireless it’s possible, but I’d think any issues would be more related to interference from other wireless devices instead.

• Unless the person in question can directly see the TV and use an IR remote or can get into the room with the TV to sync a remote with your TV, it’s very unlikely that someone obstructs your viewing.
