Hello Babumoptop, unfortunately the power cable is attached to this TV, the likelihood of damaging the cable should be that high unless that outlet is a high traffic area in your household, If you look on the brightside its impossible to lose the power cable without losing the whole TV! If this is a deal breaker the new Roku Pro Series TV does come with a detachable cable as well as many more features.
