Do you have to buy/supply a power adaptor? If i plug in the usb into hdmi on the tv will that power the roku? null

Hello Scott! The 2022 Roku Express includes a USB power cable minus the power adapter. You can use the included USB power cable to connect your streaming player to the USB port on your TV, which should provide sufficient power. If you'd prefer to plug it into a wall outlet instead, grab any standard USB adaptor you have at your house (like your phone charger cube), and you'll be ready to go. Happy Streaming!

it's supposed to. i have mine powered from the edison with the power block that came with the unit, but it does say that the TV should be able to power the unit.

You need to plug in the USB cable to power the Roku Express.  The HDMI cable must also connect the device to your TV.
