stop connecting
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You may need to situate the Roku (and your TV set) closer to your WiFi router, or vice versa. Mine detected my network immediately and I have had no problems once I logged it into the network. Do you have a smartphone, tablet or laptop in the same place as the Roku, and if so, are they accessing your network OK?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! Polo, Sorry to hear you're having issues getting your Roku Express to connect to your home wifi network. If your Roku Express is able to connect to the network you can initiate a connection check with the following steps.Start by pressing the Home button on your Roku remote. Scroll up or down and select Settings. Then Select Network followed by Selecting Check connection. When the connection check begins, your Roku device tries to connect to the wireless in your home. If successful, your Roku device then attempts to connect to the internet. A green check appears for each successful connection, while a red ‘x’ appears if a connection cannot be established. When a green check appears for both connections, your Roku device has successfully connected to your network and the internet. In these cases, your Roku device will also test the strength of each connection and present the results. When the tests for both connections are complete, the connection check ends and you are presented the message, Connection check was successful. In these cases, your Roku device will also test the strength of each connection and present the results. When the tests for both connections are complete, the connection check ends and you are presented the message, Connection check was successful. If either connection tests poorly, an on-screen message presents an error code and a brief list of suggestions to help improve the connection. There are several things you can try to resolve the connectivity issues.Making sure you enter the correct name for your wireless network. You'll also want to check that the wifi password was entered correctly. Making sure your router is working properly by using your computer or mobile device, connect to your home network and try accessing the internet by launching a public website like www.roku.com. If your password is correct and other devices can access the router, but your Roku device is still failing to connect to your wireless network, the most likely problem is the strength of the wireless signal. The wireless signal gets weaker the farther your Roku device is from your router, and with more obstacles (like walls and cabinets) between your router and your Roku device. Lastly you may want to restart your Roku Device and router. To restart your Roku Express go to Settings > System > System restart. To restart your router, check the instructions from your ISP or router vendor. In some cases, you can simply unplug it and plug it back in, and in other cases it may require pressing a reset button on the device.
