A:Answer (GOOGLE ANSWER) <Roku are a series of online media players manufactured by the American company Roku, Inc. Roku partners provide over-the-top media services in the form of channels> (MY ANSWER) Think of it like an operating system for you tv, Android phones have the <google play store>, iPhones have the <App Store> etc. Roku players have competition, it’s not the only one of its kind. There is also the amazon fire stick, Apple TV and maybe more that I don’t know of. You would buy a Roku stick, player or even the tv then you’d need WiFi connection after this you’d connect the stick or player (assuming you wouldn’t buy the tv) to your tv and instantly have access to over 50,000 apps from movie channels to music, rain tv, radio and much more. You can search for and add free channels to watch shows, movies, listen to music, sports, weather, cooking etc, some of which will be free while others require a subscription or a one time fee purchase. If you don’t have cable or your looking to ditch cable, this is the next best thing.
