I used to use the default Roku Media Player for streaming from my Windows 10 machine, but found that the Roku Media Player was very limited with which movie containers it will play (mp4, mkv, wmv, etc) and the menu was not very friendly. I ended up using a different method to stream movies from my home computer, I use Plex. You can go to Plex.tv, create a free account, and install the server software on your computer, you then tell your plex software on your windows 10 machine where your movie files are, and if you have them named appropriately (example The_Matrix_(1999) ), it will categorize them and make them available for you to stream. You can then use the Plex channel on your Roku, log into your Plex account and stream from your Windows10 machine. There is a whole Plex community to help answer the rest of your plex specific questions.
