Let me tell ya. You should have gotten this just a couple of months ago when Roku had the spectrum app you would NOT have needed any cable well essentials and wifi. The amount of live and streaming options avail with roku are amazing to me! To me its great i do not have hulu or netflix but yes spectrum app. Still try it out and play with it and see how many amazing apps and live shows are free I LOVE IT!! I think you might be confused about the box the only reason you would not need your cable box is if you got rid of ur cable period and had the spectrum app which roku doesn't currently have if im correct unfortunately then YES give em back the box n cancel that dam cable n get the essentials package 59.00 a month wifi n app. Until then keep the box and roku or either one. check it out

What is your objective? Do you need TV on a secondary television set? If so, that is where you want to connect your Roku.
