I have a VIZIO - 24" 1080p TV that has 2 hdmi inputs 1 is arc and 2 is not. My cable box to hdmi 1 and 4k roku stick to 2. if I got this. i'd plug into hdmi 1 and cable to hdmi 2.
would I only get sound from bar for roku and cable sound through tv? null

Hi! By purchasing the Roku streambar it would be replacing your current Roku stick Plus. The streambar has Roku's platform already integrated. And as for the sound the streambar will take over the Tvs sound and just use the streambar sound for anything being played on the Tv.
