Q: QuestionSince the given remote does not have a headphone jack, am I able to upgrade to the volume remote with a headphone jack?

• A:Answer Roku has replacement remotes available for $30, which has the headphone jack built in. However, with the Roku app on your phone, you can change the audio to use your own corded or bluetooth earphones, in addition to using your app in place of the remote. So the question is whether you want a physical headphone jack integrated for $30 or just use the free app to sync to the device, which will allow you to control everything you would on the physical remote, plus switching the audio to your earbuds/headphones connected to your mobile phone. Two other notes: the app remote DOES offer voice search just like the remote does. But, the "private listening" feature allows you to listen through your own headphones for streaming services, but NOT Games. Hope this helps!

• A:Answer Bob, it can if you connect the Roku Streambar to your TV with the optical cable. If you use the HDMI cable it will only work with the Roku streaming content.

Q: QuestionI am currently using a Roku Ultra with my 55-inch Samsung smart tv. Would the Streambar replace my Ultra, or connect to it?

• A:Answer The streambar is a Roku receiver and four speakers so it does replace your old box. I just replaced my 1.5-year-old Ultra with the streambar and I'm so glad I did. Same ease of use but sound is EXTREMELY BETTER than my TV speaker. AND the streambar remote has a mute button which the old remote did not have. I'm getting a MUCH better wi-fi connection as well--almost twice as good. I also paired my old remote to it so now I have two working remotes.

Q: QuestionHello, so this roku sound bar also includes whatever would be on a Roku box or it's just a sound bar for a Roku box? So in other words, if I bought this, I would also need a Roku box?

Q: QuestionI bought this thinking the Bluetooth would connect to wireless earbuds for private listening. It seems I was mistaken, The unit must have bluetooth input only and not output. Very disapointing.

• A:Answer I just got one and yes it works as a bluetooth speaker too! The only small difference is that the first time you pair it with a device, you have to go through the tv to get to the roku settings. But after you've done that once, you no longer need to have the TV on to play your music from that device. Very easy.

Q: QuestionI have a projector that doesn't have either hdmi-arc or optical. If I connect with the regular hdmi for video, will I be able to hear audio from the streaming apps on the roku? since they are already coming from the bar and not the TV?

• A:Answer Yes, this is exactly the reason I went with the Streambar one of my displays also didn't have an audio out option. All the Roku apps sound great and I haven't used it but you can stream audio from your phone as well.
