Yes as long as you have an HDMI input on the monitor. You only get sound from the apps within Roku, not from anything else hooked up to your monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You probably can't. the Roku requires that the TV/Monitor be HDCP compliant. I tried using this with my old 36 westinghouse monitor that has and HDMI port since the speakers were going on it. I had previously used a Roku 3 with no problems whatsoever but as the speakers were starting to fail I opted to spring for the Roku Upgrade. It sounds good and perfectly sized for my bedroom. But each time I turn it on I get the HDCP error screen (see attached image). I tried everything this said to do and even what the Roku site said to do. But as soon as I turn it off and back on we are back to the same problem. Yeah I'm not about to make a habit of resetting the connection every time for a fix (which it does). So Make sure your monitor is compliant or else be prepared to reset the HDMI connection for every time you want to use it.
