I have 3 tv’’s none have the roku built in, 2 are smart and 1 standard. If I purchase the ultra what roku devices would you recommend for the other two tv’s to make them roku able & compatible. null

That all depends on what models the TV's are. Are they 4k capable? If none of them are 4k capable, then get the $20 roku stick for all 3 tv's

Your old tv needs hmdi for the newer roku. The original roku had component connections. Or you need a conversion box to do this.

just went ahead and purchased the ultra for my tv's even the one that have built in. the buffering is less with the external device

Get the Roku Ultra. It has a faster processor, and you shouldn't experience lagging while streaming. Plus, the headset that comes with the units allows you to listen to the TV without others hearing what you are watching.
